Tina Filipiak - Biography

Tina Filipiak joined the Will County State's Attorney’s Office in 1992 after working in the Hennepin County (Minnesota) Attorney's Office, where she was assigned to the Criminal Appeals Division.

 

In 1993, Filipiak was appointed Supervisor of the Will County State’s Attorney’s Juvenile Division. She supervises all prosecutions involving minors in Will County. The Juvenile Division also prosecutes parents who abuse or neglect their children. In the most serious abuse and neglect cases, the division litigates the termination of parental rights.

 

Filipiak is a former member of the Aurora Sub Region Child Death Review Team, which is a partner of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She is a graduate of Saint Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

State's Attorney Glasgow partners with Illinois State Crime Commission to provide additional law enforcement self-defense training

Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow and the Crime Commission, under the leadership of Executive Director Jerry Elsner, will offer free Martial Arts training to police officers throughout the region.

 

The training will be held from 2:30-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Victory Martial Arts Academy, 15414 70th Court in Orland Park.
