Avoiding Harmful Assumptions

There is no typical profile of an abuser or victim. An abuser may appear very charming, or seem like explosive, angry individuals. Victims may seem extremely passive, or quite angry about what is happening.

Before determining whether someone fits a "type," look for the Basic Warning Signs of domestic violence.
