Arson Unit

The Will County State’s Attorney’s Arson Unit consists of individuals specially trained to work with local law enforcement agencies to insure that criminals that use fire as a weapon to destroy property and lives are prosecuted. Although these cases are often difficult to prove, the Unit is nevertheless dedicated to pursuing charges against those who violate the arson laws, in the hope that fervent prosecution will increase public awareness of arson and thereby reduce the frequency with which this crime is committed.
